ABOUT
Founded in 2010, biov8tion was set up to offer independent investigation into emerging sustainability issues in the textile industry.
biov8tion brings a strategic and innovative mindset to technically challenging projects gained from over two
decades of cross industry experience in Europe, USA and Asia.
We convene the global fashion and textile sector;
global brands, retailers, manufactures, public sector and academia.
By bridging the gap between 'the problem', research
(academic and manufacturing) and brands,
we facilitate purpose led commercial solutions.

OUR LEGACY
We work as topic trail blazers in emerging areas of sustainable risk, such as, but not exclusive to Fibre Fragmentation and Biosynthetics, by building a compelling business case to garner industry support.
Work is underpinned by timely and science driven groundwork to ensure inclusion within larger sustainability strategies.
As Founding Director of The Microfibre Consortium, strategic leadership can be evidenced through the creation, development and leadership of a textile science-based NGO.
Strategically this has covered both the formation of company governance and a clear and measurable topic agenda (The Microfibre Consortium 2030 Roadmap).
We inspire and convene the global fashion and textile industry in key emerging topics through the value of the collective.
Biosynthetics – In 2015 we formed and led the Textile Exchange Biosynthetic Working Group convening brands, NGO’s, industry associations and suppliers in accelerating the topic into both the larger industry and more specific company strategies.
Fibre Fragmentation – Under The Microfibre Consortium agenda, we developed a transparent and cross industry accountability platform with The Microfibre 2030 Commitment. This commitment has provided a transparent industry narrative on progress.

“2005 – Hong Kong I was waking up each day and checking the pollution index, wondering whether I could run outside. The factories in China were choking us.
This was my wake up call to sustainable innovation.
From this point forwards I embraced difficult challenges as a blank canvas for innovative opportunities.”
